UC San Diego

For seven years I was editor-in-chief at UC San Diego: overseeing university-wide communications, revamping their print and digital magazine, writing a ton of stories, directing award-winning creative, and working with excellent writers across every discipline.

I've since written about some "crazy" features we did and delivering what alumni want.

I was very fortunate to discover and partner with the incarcerated writer, Curtis Dawkins, editing and producing his debut story collection, published in 2017.

BULL Magazine

In 2009, I founded a magazine and website exploring modern masculinity through fiction. I met a lot of great writers and led a team of generous volunteer readers, editors and designers.

Public Safety Publications

At PennWell Corporation I was a senior editor working simultaneously on two monthly print and digital publications: FireRescue for firefighters and Public Safety Communications for 911 dispatchers. Boy, do they have some stories.
